About Me
I write children's books inspired by family, friends, farming, chronic illness, disability and mental health. I fell in love with reading as a child and never imagined that the picture books I read back then could change my life and dreams today.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education After-Degree from Concordia University of Edmonton. I am a certified Early Childhood Supervisor and a trustee for my local public library.
I have worked as an elementary teacher and preschool teacher for several years. I especially enjoyed working as a substitute teacher after having my three children. Due to my chronic illness, I am no longer in the classroom full-time, but it will never stop me from writing and sharing my stories with the world. When I am not writing or reading loads of books to my kids and myself, I can be found outside with my growing collection of farm animals.

I am active within the writing community and enjoy taking part in writing challenges and contests. I am a member of the Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators and Performers (CANSCAIP), The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), and the 12×12 Picture Book Challenge.
My family is my rock. They encourage me and inspire me every day. I hope to teach my kids to follow your dreams, regardless of how crazy it might seem.
